The design is by third generation New England boatbuilding/designing brothers Royal and Carroll Lowell ? the grandsons of legendary boatbuilder/designer Will Frost. The influence of their grandfather who is generally regarded as the originator of Maine lobster-style boats is certainly apparent in this design. Built by Sisu Boat Inc. of Portsmouth NH the 26 Sisu was introduced in 1979 and remained in production until 1988.

This Sisu 26 features the classic downeast profile with dark blue hull and white top side. The pilothouse has deluxe trim package with starboard helm. The helm features Garmin GPS Raymarine auto pilot Datamarine digital depth sounder Ritchie compass and Icom VHF radio. The cockpit has ample room to fish a centerline engine box with cushion a deck locker with cushion and an extended swim platform with boarding ladder.
