2014 Boat Sales Forecast Looks Promising

By:
January 26, 2014

Is this the year boat sales finally begin to gain steam and approach normal levels? Since the recession began a few years back, many boat dealers and manufacturers have seen an alarming trend in boat sales, with many struggling to even stay afloat.

This is completely understandable since for most people, boating is more of a luxury and hobby than a necessity. When the economy takes a beating like it did a few years back, people tend to panic and unnecessary expenses are held in check and funds are directed towards their essential items or saved for future use.

Over this time, the Boating Industry has suffered greatly and many have been left without jobs and dealerships have been closing throughout the country. However, the end of 2013 may have shown some promise and there are signs that the wave might finally crash.

While there is still a lot of uncertainty and they will head into the new year with caution, a large majority of boat dealers and manufacturers are optimistic that they will see an increase in revenue again this year.

This isn't only good news for the guys selling the boats, it's a sign that boaters will finally be able to enjoy themselves on the water as they once did. Only time will tell, as many of us are still stuck in the frozen tundra the winter has brought us this year, but hope is on the horizon. We will find out soon enough as spring rolls in.
